SOUTH BURLINGTON, VERMONT — Dynapower is pleased to announce Milton CAT as a Value Added Reseller (VAR) of Dynapower energy storage systems for the North East Region. Milton CAT is also the Caterpillar dealer for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and upstate New York—with hundreds of MWs of power generated throughout their territory every year.
“Milton CAT has not only the experience in the utility sector, but also the engineering team to work with us to successfully deploy energy storage—in all its complexities—in New England for behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter applications,” said Chris Larsen, Dynapower’s Director of Energy Storage.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Milton CAT to deploy storage in this rapidly growing market.”
Dynapower designs and builds battery energy storage systems from 250kW to multi-megawatt installations for the country’s leading utilities, renewable energy developers, systems integrators, and government and military institutions.
Dynapower’s microgrid technologies—including its proprietary Dynamic Transfer—help power several energy storage-enabled microgrids in New England, including those at the Encore Boston Harbor Resort and Casino and Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts, where Milton CAT is headquartered. Several of these microgrid installations include Caterpillar diesel gensets as well.
“Milton CAT recognizes that our commercial, industrial and municipal customers will have choices in the future that will include both hybrid and energy storage applications,” said Bucky Brennan, who heads up Milton CAT’s Business Development for Hybrid Solutions.
“And we want to continue to be their solution in the marketplace whether it revolves around reciprocating engine solutions or alternative technologies. Our partnership with Dynapower is a key piece of the portfolio to serve our customers both today and in the future.”
