This week Dynapower was awarded a prestigious innovation award at the Electrical Energy Storage conference in Munich, Germany for our DPS line of DC-DC converters for utility-scale solar plus storage. The 2018 ees AWARD recognizes Dynapower’s innovation in energy storage with the introduction last year of the first commercially deployed DC-DC converters for utility-scale solar plus storage in the United States. The DPS family of DC converters reduces the costs of coupling energy storage as well as increases energy production of utility-scale solar arrays to maximize installation economics.
The ees AWARD pays tribute to pioneering products and solutions for stationary and mobile electrical energy storage systems. “We are truly honored to be awarded this recognition,” said Adam Knudsen, president of Dynapower. “It is a testament to the power of Dynapower’s people and our nimbleness as a company to not only recognize technologies that can improve the economics of energy storage but can also accelerate the integration of renewable energy and, most importantly, bring them to market quickly and effectively.”
Introduced in 2014, the ees AWARD is presented each year by the organizers of ees in cooperation with international industry associations. The award was presented this year at the Electrical Energy Storage (EES) Europe conference in Munich, Germany. EES is Europe’s largest conference devoted to renewable energy storage solutions, from residential and commercial applications to large-scale storage systems for stabilizing the grid. Other focal points are products and solutions for smart renewable energy, energy management, e-mobility and uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
