1 Optional cycle timer, ampere-hour meter, and reverse polarity items that are integrally mounted into the switchmode box itself will increase the standard enclosure dimensions provided below. These options may also be mounted in a remote enclosure.

2 Polarity reversing components for the 500A & 1000A units will be mounted in a separate enclosure.

Controls

The switchmode power supplies are designed to be simple to operate and maintain. All output adjustments are made from the control keypad located on the front panel of the unit. Controls include:

• Power on/off switch
• Voltage and current set-point control push-buttons
• Alphanumeric display for voltage and current set-points
• Voltage and current mode indication lights
• Digital DC ammeter
• Digital DC voltmeter

Dynapower and Rapid Power offer the latest generation of Water-Cooled Switchmode DC power supplies featuring an innovative design that provides users with an operational and installation advantage. Our water-cooled switchmode power supply is a flexible, easy to use rectifier with <1% AC RMS of full scale ripple1, 0.1% regulation over the operating range2 and a power factor of 0.93. Our high efficiency switchmode design offers a conversion efficiency that is greater than standard SCR type rectifiers with DC output capabilities of up to 150kW.

Controls

The switchmode power supplies are designed to be simple to operate and maintain. All output adjustments are made from the control Touchpad located on the front panel of the unit (wall mountable remote control available as an option).

Dynapower and Rapid Power Corporation’s Touchpad interface is a flexible platform that is easy to use, programmable, and provides users precision control of their rectifier. The digital display with alpha numeric readout and status indication offer the user an informative, easily read user interface.

Fault Diagnostics

The power supply features a fault diagnostic protection system to automatically shut down the unit in the unlikely event that an over-temperature or an IGBT fault condition exists. If a fault is detected, the microprocessor first verifies the fault and attempts to correct the condition. If the fault persists, the power supply will shut down.
