  •                                                                                  FINAL ASSEMBLER

    Responsible for the integration of all major subassemblies into a final product. Will locate and install subassemblies according to engineering documentation; ability to read and interpret engineering prints and electrical schematics a must. Plumbing skills are also a plus. High school diploma or equivalent and a 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required. Must be a motivated self starter and able to work well in a quality team environment.

                                                                               TRANSFORMER ASSEMBLER 

    Dynapower seeks motivated individual with a mechanical aptitude to learn the assembly and finishing of the transformer components that make up rectifier and cast transformers. This includes placing coils on the prepared core assembly, interleaving the core steel into various configurations, installing various blocking, bus work and securing parts, wrap, dip and bake coils on a timely basis to meet schedule and customer demands. High school diploma required. Gas brazing and soldering experience helpful. Must be able to read and interpret engineering prints and parts list, ability to visualize final product and infer assembly detail from engineering documentation, ability to read and interpret various measuring instruments, data entry skills and good interpersonal skills.                                                                             

                                                                                     TEST TECHNICIAN   

    Dynapower Corporation is seeking 2 highly motivated individuals with a working knowledge of 1 & 3-phase line power, substation and power transformers, Thyristor and IGBT semiconductors, related test and measuring equipment and instrumentation. Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics and experience with High Voltage and High DC Current is a must. Ability to test Industrial Relay Controls and Logic, SCR Phase Control and Switch Mode Power Supplies. A high school education is required with two year electrical degree or equivalent experience.

                                                                                TRANSFORMER WINDER

    Responsible for producing transformer coils with up to six (6) conductors per engineering specifications with use of winding machine on a timely basis to meet production schedule and customer demands. The ability to use butt welder a plus.  High school diploma or equivalent and a 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required. Must be a motivated self starter and able to work well in a quality team environment.

                                                                            SHEET METAL FABRICATOR 

    A sheet metal fabricator will be responsible for manufacturing enclosures and panels from raw materials.  This will include welding frames from tube and angle stock, cutting and bending flat steel, and punching and drilling according to drawings.  High school diploma or equivalent experience and 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required. Must be a motivated self starter and able to work well in a quality team environment.

                                                                             PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLER

    Responsible for component layout on rectifier control panels for integral and remote systems.  After mounting the components, the panel assembler will install all wiring and labels on the panels.  Must be able to read and interpret engineering prints and parts list. Able to visualize final product and infer assembly detail from engineering documentation, ability to read and interpret various measuring instruments. Electrical assembly experience helpful.  High school diploma or equivalent and a 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required. Must be a motivated self starter and able to work well in a quality team environment.

                                                                         MECHANICAL SUB ASSEMBLER

    A Mechanical Sub Assembler is responsible for both standard and custom subassemblies. This includes drill, cut, tap, and punch copper and aluminum material, fabricate cable assemblies, operate saws, radial arm drill, and hydraulic press, assemble cable (1500 and 1000 mcm) and copper and tin plating.  Must be able to read and interpret engineering prints and parts lists.  Ability to read electrical prints a plus and visualize the final product and infer assembly detail from engineering documentation.  Ability to read and interpret various measuring instruments.  Machine shop experience a plus. Mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus. High school diploma or equivalent experience and 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required. Must be a motivated self starter and able to work well in a quality team environment

                                                                    RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

    Dynapower Corporation, a global leader in power conversion systems, is looking for a top level engineering candidate to augment its ongoing R&D efforts.  The applicant should have a minimum of an MSEE or equivalent.  The candidate should possess a strong mathematics and physics background with demonstrable problem solving skills.  The position will entail design and testing over a broad range of disciplines.  Dynapower presently builds power conversion equipment in the 10 kilowatt to multi-megawatt range and over a broad range of voltage and current ratings and varied topologies.  Among the tools to be utilized are PSpice, Finite Element Analysis, Mat lab, PLC programming languages, high level programming languages and various analysis test equipment.  Design opportunities include, but are not limited to, analog, digital and power electronics design, a broad range of magnetic design, overall system design and software integration. 

    The applicant must be good at working in a team format and able to direct hardware and software support in the design, construction and testing of high profile, time constrained projects.  The applicant should be able to be involved in multiple projects at any given time. 

    Future involvements may include supervision, management, Corporate R&D direction. 

                                                                      ELECTRICAL ENGINEER--2 POSITIONS

    Design High Power Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) IGBT based Chopper Rectifier modules including power components & control board circuitry. Design, engineer, test & develop systems for inclusion in special purpose high power DC rectifier systems;  Provide technical info re: mfg or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations; Design and test equipment to conform to ANSI/IEEE standards, functional and customer specs; Use CAD for schematic capture and documentation for power and control circuit designs; Perform tests on controls and on complete power conversion equipment; Compile and analyze operational, test and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or products; Analyze test data and reports;  Write detailed specs and test procedures, and program software for PLCs; Perform circuit systems analysis.  Use computers for circuit analysis, layout and simulation in the field for power conversion.

    Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 1)10 years experience designing ANSI/IEEE conforming (C34, C37, C57) heavy industrial rectifier systems for application in steel reduction, aluminum potlines, electrowinning, and electrochemical; 2) 7 years experience in designing and testing High Power Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) IGBT based Chopper Rectifier systems; 3) 5 Years experience in using OrCAD for the design of power electronics and control circuits.
