When
analyzing the cost of owning power supply equipment the
customer must consider more than just the initial capital
investment, as the true cost must factor in repair costs and
loss of production resulting from down time.
Dynapower power supplies are design and manufactured to
offer the most reliable service thus minimizing these
additional costs of ownership.

“The Low
Bid….It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay
too little. When
you pay too much all you lose is a little money – that is
all. When you pay
too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing
you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to
do. The common
law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting
a lot. It can’t
be done. If you
deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for
the risk you run, and if you do that, you will have enough to
pay for something better.”

There
are several main advantages of purchasing multiple outputs in
one-enclosure power supplies versus, single enclosure power
supplies. The
benefits of incorporating greater than one output in a single
enclosure are many. The
first is that the price of the collective multiple output in one
cabinet equipment is less than the price for individual units, as
the enclosure and transformer are common among all of the outputs
in the one enclosure designs and hence cost less to produce.
However, the major cost savings in incorporating the
multiple in one cabinet concept is that the installation costs are
drastically reduced in that only one 480 Volt, 3 phase, 60 Hertz
feed and plumbing connection need be brought to each multiple in
one cabinet power supply instead of individual 480 Volt, 3 Phase,
60 Hertz feeds and disconnect switches.
This savings typically far outweighs the rectifier savings.
The third advantage in employing this type multiple in
one-enclosure designs are that this configuration drastically
reduces floor space requirements and clearance requirements around
the cabinets as the number of cabinets is reduced.
